The Shoreline and Coastal Planners Group invite you to attend workshop on Sea Level Rise Projections for Washington on November 6, 2018 in Edmonds, WA.

On July 31, Washington Sea Grant and the Climate Impacts Group produced sea level rise projections for 171 locations in Washington State. At this workshop, we will present and discuss findings from the NOAA-funded Washington Coastal Resilience Project, including the new sea level rise projections, how to apply the information in decision making using the SLR information.

Workshop participants will learn about and discuss:

·      New Washington State probabilistic sea level rise projections

·      Factors to consider when using choosing projections for plans, policies and projects

·      How to communicate about sea level rise including use of sea level rise maps for understanding and communicating risk

This event is co-hosted by the Puget Sound Climate Preparedness Collaborative, Washington Sea Grant, the Department of Ecology and the Climate Impacts Group.
